Orange color of plant foods is due to the presence of a pigment known as beta-carotene and when we ingest through foods, our body changes it into vitamin A, essential vitamin for the formation of the immune system, for the bone formation and tissues, for the skin and for a good eyesight. And orange fruits, besides, are very rich in vitamin C.
